Teen Fights Alzheimer's with Bingo, Softball
While she cannot restore her grandmother’s memories, Ali Brems, a Kenosha, Wisconsin, 18-year-old, wants to help ensure other granddaughters won’t face the same loss. Inspired by an intensive high school course on Alzheimer’s disease, she hosted a Bingo fundraiser for Alzheimer’s disease research with funds going directly to the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center based in Madison. How to make a gift to the Wisconsin Brain Donor Program
Private support is needed and gratefully accepted by the Wisconsin Brain Donor Program. Gifts are used to provide low-cost, or no cost, autopsies to those who cannot otherwise afford to donate tissue. The Wisconsin Brain Donor Program also uses private support to increase awareness of the importance of donation and autopsy through community education and outreach efforts.
